Yes!
Sonora, Mexico cares a LOT about United States tourism in Rocky Point and works hard to protect it. I can honestly say that I've been to Rocky Point more than 250 times in my life and never had a major issue.
However, like any city, you need to you follow the same rules that you would in any city in the US. Don't make yourself a target, make wise decisions (avoid drunk and beligerant), don't flash valuables or large sums of cash, keep car doors locked, and don't wander down dark side streets at night.
If you run into any issues while you're down there,
there are plenty of emergency services available to you, so please call the following:

Yes. While you don't need it to get to Rocky Point or the surrounding area, you need it to get back to the United States. There are stories of people who do get across with just a birth certificate, but it really depends on the day and the Border Patrol officer. Technically, you need to have a passport or passport card to come back into the United States.
Please see the Amenities page for a list of casita features and the standard rates.
From Phoenix OR Tucson, it's about a 4-4.5 hour drive, depending on how fast you drive and how many stops you make.
From Rocky Point, our casita is about 20-25min south of town.

The rules are different in Mexico than here, so please be aware. Some things to definitely know:
- You will need to bring your own bottled water to drink while you're here. The water provided in the tanks is for showers and general use, but drinking and dishes should be bottled. If you forget, there is purified water in town.
- We do our best to wash the sheets and linens in "Free" detergent to limit allergies, but if that might be an issue, you can bring your own. The beds are queen size and the futon is a full.
- Our little slice of heaven is a little bit out of town, about 20-25min. The distance provides privacy, security, and a clean beach... but keep this in mind if you plan on being in town on a regular basis. Our place is not for everyone.
- The casita is a STUDIO aparatment, which is why we keep the guest limit to 4. Any more and it's gets a bit tight! LOL!
- Please keep in mind that camping on the beach, ATVs, fireworks, and open fire pits are prohibited.
- DO NOT take guns or ammunition down. It is illegal. If you forget, there are lockers in Lukeville, AZ just before the border to store your firearms
